Having the right song/sound is so important. I can write and act (apparently, not), but if the sound isn't right, the message won't get across. Think about those scary, romantic, funny, thrilling, and so on movies. The reason any of them have any lasting impact on you was because of THAT ONE song. That is a level I hope to reach in this filming journey. Keep it short today :D.
How did each of the songs affect/change your view of the video?

I thought the first two songs didn't fit well at all, maybe if you said you were going to call your significance other or someone you like? third song was the best one because it went a long well with the pace of the video. its was also more upbeat so it kept you interested.
ReplyDeleteIt was the original song, so I wrote all the trolling comments naturally to match the audio.
DeleteIf I was making these videos, I would nevveer finish. lol. When I'm just driving around by myself listening to music, my mind starts to wander and I start imagining what sort of scene would fit with the music. Like today, I was listening to Hoppipola by Sigur Ros ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hnAwPeqrdAk ) and I thought that it would fit good during a moment of redemption...then right away I thought, "No, this song would be good for leading up to a man and women journeying towards each other and hugging when the crescendo of the song hits.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, if I was sitting and editing a video that I was going to show people, and could pull any song I wanted off of the internet, the process would never end. I'd be there forever!! But, I think you nailed it with the choice you went with. The music makes me feel like...Alright just going about my business. It's a good lead up to part where you're like whatttt? noooooooooooooo, lol. And it just has a nice sound to it :)
Yea, that's how I felt when I first listened to it. It gave off the story that it was a great day, but not for too long! grrr. lol.
